Why is brow geometry so important?
-
Symmetry – Brow geometry helps correct disproportions, for example when one brow sits visibly lower than the other.
-
Precise tinting – Henna or dye enhances the brow shape and also stains the skin, which is why precise product application is so important.
-
The perfect base for henna – Creating a geometric outline makes shaping and tinting your client’s brows much easier.

How to perform brow geometry step by step using mapping thread?
- Mark a vertical line at the center of the nose.
- Define the lower brow line and the starting point of the brow by aligning the thread from the side of the nostril.
- Mark the tail of the brow by drawing a line from the side of the nostril through the outer corner of the eye.
- To find the apex (the highest point), place the thread at the side of the nostril and guide it through the center of the pupil – this straight line will indicate the brow arch peak.
- Based on the intersections of the lines you have drawn, create the final outline of your client’s brow shape.

Lash Tip: “If you ever run out of mapping thread or you’re waiting for a delivery, you can color a regular thread with a brow pencil. It won’t give the same results as professional mapping thread, but in emergency situations it will save your initial outline.” – Noble Lashes StylistWatch the full tutorial on the Noble Lashes channel -> Brow Architecture and Geometry
