What is Fan Maker?
Fan Maker (often called a “fan stone”) is a multi-layer sticky tape that stabilizes the fan base and makes it easier to spread lashes precisely. Thanks to it, fans are created faster, are even and have a compact, aesthetic base – without the need to master difficult manual techniques.

How to prepare Fan Maker for work?
To make working with Fan Maker comfortable and effective, it’s worth preparing it properly.
- Attach Fan Maker to a holder – use the included mounting tapes or double-sided cosmetic tape. The surface should be stable and should not move during work.
- Peel off the first sticky layer – Fan Maker consists of many thin layers. One layer is enough for many fans, and once used, simply remove it.
- Place it close to the lash palette – reducing hand movements significantly speeds up the styling process.
How to create eyelash fans on Fan Maker – step by step
Step 1: Picking up the lashes
Use tweezers to grab the right number of lashes from the strip – depending on the desired volume (2D, 3D, 4–6D or more).
Step 2: Placing on Fan Maker
Gently place the lash base on the sticky surface of Fan Maker. The adhesive layer stabilizes the fan base.
Step 3: Spreading the fan
With a light movement of the tweezers, spread the lashes to the sides, creating the perfect shape. Fan Maker “holds” the base, so you have full control over symmetry.
Step 4: Removing the finished fan
Grab the fan just above the base and gently peel it off the tape. The fan will keep its shape and will be ready for the next step.
Step 5: Application on the natural lash
Dip the base in adhesive and apply it like a standard volume fan.
Why is Fan Maker a great choice?
- A huge support for beginner lash artists
- Significant speed-up without loss of quality
- Multi-layer construction – one tool for many weeks of work
- Universal – ideal for 2D–6D methods and larger volumes
Tips from lash artists:
✔ Don’t press the lashes too hard – the sticky layer will hold them in place
✔ If the surface loses its stickiness, remove the layer and keep working
✔ Perfect fans are created with gentle, precise tweezers movements
