Which eyelash extension method is the best?
Currently, there are many volume methods available on the market, which are rapidly replacing the classic 1:1 eyelash extension method. During a volume extension treatment, more than one synthetic lash is applied to a single properly isolated natural lash. Volume is achieved by attaching multiple relatively thin lashes (thicknesses like 0.05, 0.07, or 0.10), instead of choosing a single, thicker lash. In the case of the 1:1 method, the stylist was previously limited by the number of natural lashes. Clients with sparse lashes often couldn’t achieve the desired effect. Additionally, it was sometimes difficult to establish symmetry in the number of lashes between each eyelid.
Are volume lashes safe?
Volume methods are not dependent on the number of natural lashes. This method is lightweight, gentle, and comfortable to wear, and it does not affect the health or condition of natural lashes. All this is thanks to continuously improved application techniques, which ensure an even distribution of gravity vectors in different directions while maintaining the correct angle of deviation. It is an excellent solution for filling in gaps in natural lashes and for rehabilitating lashes after unsuccessful extension treatments. The variety of methods, materials, and application techniques allows for flexible density adjustment in the case of sparse lashes, which until now was unachievable with the 1:1 method. Options range from natural-looking 2-3D to dramatic 8D for a more impressive effect. The appearance of beautiful lashes is maintained even though much less adhesive is used compared to the one-to-one application. The results last longer because even if one of the fans falls out, the remaining lashes spread out and fill in the gap.
Volume Eyelash Extension Methods for Beginners
When volume methods were first entering the market, lash styles using luxurious products such as natural Siberian mink lashes were very popular. They gained attention due to their lightness and softness. Currently, most applications are done using synthetic lashes or natural express-type lashes (in palettes), though forming fans from them requires practice. Less experienced stylists who have not yet completed volume lash extension training can still successfully perform this type of styling using pre-made lashes such as Y / W or 4D / 5D false lashes.
